Educating AIDS Orphans in Africa
'Teach a Child - Africa' (TaC) enables children who have been orphaned by AIDS to complete their secondary education. More than 12 million children in sub-Saharan Africa have lost one or both of their parents to AIDS.* Today we are providing bursaries to 42 children in Africa so that they can finish school and develop the skills to fight poverty and reach their potential in life.
TaC UK Annual Supporters' Gathering, 2011

Trustee, Bob Gibson, addresses UK Supporters
The TaC trustees are grateful for the support they received at the UK TaC supporter's gathering in Oxford on May 14th. The meeting was an important opportunity for the board to share the progress that TaC has made over the last year and their plans for the future. TaC's work would not be possible without the generous support of its donors. It is hoped that this will become an annual event for donors, volunteers, trustees and other supporters to meet and share with each other.

Lenah Oduor

TaC UK is pleased to welcome a new trustee, Lenah, who brings financial expertise to the board.

She is also a member of the Institute of Public Accountants of Kenya. Lenah brings with her a wealth of experience in accounting, finance and management. Lenah worked in western Kenya for Mumias Sugar Company for eight years and has seen closely how children’s lives are affected by poverty and the loss of a parent through HIV/AIDS.
Lenah is pleased to join the board of Tac and is looking forward to helping even more young people achieve their potential through education.
